Children's Ministry

"Suffer little children, and forbid them not to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." ~ Matt 19:14

Jesus loves the little children, and so do we! At Central Baptist Church, we believe in raising our children to follow the Lord, and we do so in many different ways.


Nursery: For children under 4 years of age, we offer a clean, well-equipped nursery for all of our Sunday services. Our nursery volunteers are warm, loving ladies who see the nursery as an important ministry in our church, both to the children they care for and to the adults in the worship service.


Sunday School: We offer Sunday School classes for children of all ages, from 3 to 18. Our teachers focus on communicating the truths of the Bible in an age-appropriate way and seeking to develop a love for the Lord in all of our students.


Junior Church: We believe that children benefit from worshipping together with Christians of all generations, and that parents are the most important teachers in their children's lives. So, we welcome our children into our Sunday morning worship service for most of our activities. However, because we understand that children often learn differently than adults, we invite children from age 3 through 6th grade to our Junior Church just before our Pastor brings the message.


Our Junior Church teachers follow a teaching plan to give our children an understanding of the scope and message of the entire Bible, complete with songs and hymns that help to reinforce the truths they are learning.

Students & Youth

"Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers." ~ 1 Tim 4:12

Central Baptist student ministry is designed to help middle school and high school students grow their faith, their character, and their relationships. It’s about creating an atmosphere that is Christ-focused where they can belong. We encourage our youth to be involved in everything we do from inviting, participating in activities and serving.


Students currently meet in the youth room on Sunday mornings at 10:00 for a time of Bibles study and fellowship each week.

Adults

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

Our adult ministry centers on gathering as a community around the Word of God and living lives modeled after Christ. The goal of all adult ministries at Central Baptist is to help challenge participants to live out their faith while impacting others with the power and truth of the Gospel! Adult Sunday school currently meets in the CBC fellowship hall each week at 10:00am. Come a few minutes early and grab a coffee to kick off your Sunday morning!

HOPE Central Food Pantry

"As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."

Hope Central Food Pantry is a monthly ministry of Central Baptist Church that seeks to serve the physical needs of Southern Marengo & Northern Clarke county residents while pointing them to the wonderful love of Jesus Christ.


Monthly giveaways are schedule for the third Saturday of every month for all registered, active participants who qualify through the USDA registration process. For more information, call the CBC church office and leave a message.


HOPE Central Food Pantry also sponsors mobile community-wide giveaways that are open to anyone in our community. These giveaways are usually bi-monthly and are promoted via our church Facebook. You can follow our FB page by searching for @CBCofDM or by clicking here.
